8 Best Cafés in Uluwatu

Surf, Eat & Explore

Uluwatu used to be known for exactly two things: world-class waves and the best sunsets. The café scene? Let’s just say it wasn’t the draw. But things have changed fast. The Bukit Peninsula has quietly become one of Bali’s best spots for coffee, brunch, and good food. And if you’re staying at Kima Surf Uluwatu, you’re right in the middle of all of it.

From specialty coffee to post-surf brunch spots, plus three restaurants for when you want to make a proper evening of it.

The Top 8 Cafés in Uluwatu

What actually makes a great café in Uluwatu? For us, it comes down to a few things: coffee that’s taken seriously, food that actually fuels a full day of surfing, a vibe that makes you want to stay longer, and ideally a spot of shade or a view that reminds you exactly where you are. Bonus points for good WiFi, fast service before a session, and a menu that works whether it’s 7am after a dawn patrol or 2pm after a long morning in the water.

Here are our favorite spots in Uluwatu, in no particular order, that tick every box. We’ve also added the distance from our Kima Surf Uluwatu camp to each spot. All times are averages and may vary depending on the traffic.

1. Suka Espresso

If there’s one café that feels like the heartbeat of Uluwatu, it’s Suka. Always buzzing, always reliable, and consistently one of the best spots on the Bukit for both coffee and brunch. They source beans in small batches from Indonesia and South America, and the brunch menu is generously portioned and delicious.

The Vibe: Casual, social, always packed with surfers, families and digital nomads. A popular spot in Uluwatu

Our Favourites:

  • Eggs benedict
  • Corn fritters
  • Flat white
  • Fresh pastries

Distance From our Camp:

200 m – 3 minutes walking.

Vintage boards on the walls, Bob Marley on the speakers, and a peaceful outdoor seating area perfect for a long breakfast after your first surf session of the day. The coffee is excellent, the food is creative, and they often host events with live bands or movies under the stars.

The Vibe: Laid-back, artsy, and authentically Bali. It’s the kind of place where time disappears.

Our Favourites:

  • Breakfast burrito
  • Avocado smash
  • Cold brew
  • Balinese nasi campur

Distance From our Camp:
2,7 km – 10 minutes by scooter.

3. Analog

No big sign out front, hidden between a surf shop and a pilates studio, that’s Analog. Inside, you can find custom surfboards, vinyl records on the walls, and a Japanese-inspired garden out back. Rich espresso in the morning, cocktails by night. It’s one of the few spots in Uluwatu where you start with an oat latte and end with a negroni without ever leaving your seat. And if you’re staying at our Kima Surf camp in Canggu, good news! Analog just opened a second location, just a short 5 minute scooter ride away from our camp.

The Vibe: Stylish and social. Works from morning coffee all the way through to a late evening out.

Our Favourites:

  • Espresso tonic
  • Cold brew
  • Buddha bowl
  • Negroni at sunset

BGS started as a group of friends who loved good coffee and life on a surfboard. And that DNA still runs through everything. Now with 6 locations across Bali, you’ll find them close to all three of our camps, including spots near Kima Surf Canggu and Kima Surf Seminyak. Browse a solid selection of surfboards, fins, wax, boardshorts, and surf accessories while your coffee is being pulled. Solid coffee (they even make their own plant based almond milk), and a relaxed community atmosphere that makes it an easy stop before or after a session.
