We organize surf trips for all skill levels to the best spots nearby every day, seven days a week. We visit exciting surf spots in small groups, all with the best current, wind, and swell conditions. Our guiding focus at Kima surf camp Uluwatu is on the waves right outside the camp door.

THE KIMA SURF GUIDES

Learning to surf in Bali at surf camp Uluwatu is easy with our highly trained Kima surf guides. In the water with you, they always have tips and are ready to show you exciting surf tricks. The guides are familiar with every aspect of the respective spots, and which dangers to watch out for. Our guided surf tours are always in tune with the regional and local conditions. If the swell is right, we might even show you a hidden spot or two!

THEORY LESSONS & VIDEO ANALYSIS

We film and analyze some surf sessions. There are also several theory lessons. You can participate if you wish – these lessons are included in your package rate.

BOARD RENTAL

Board transportation by plane can be difficult and arduous. No need to worry, you can rent shortboards (5’8“ to 7’0“), funshapes, mini-malibus (7’0“ to 7’8“), and a selection of longboards from us. You’ll find the right board for all weather conditions and skill levels at Kima Surf. Lycra and leashes are already included in the rental fee. You have to pay for repairs or lost equipment yourself.

INSURE YOUR SURFBOARD

Trust is great, insurance is better. Surfboard insurance covers repair costs over a time of one to three weeks, from small dent to severe break. Experienced pros put your board back together. Please note that the user has to cover repair costs for lost parts and boards, even when lost in water.

INTERMEDIATE SURFER

Soft reef breaks and semi-beach breaks inspire intermediate surfers. Challenge yourself on perfect waves and become an experienced surfer by the end of your stay. The more remote, famous spots in Bali will certainly challenge you as well!

ADVANCED SURFER

TExperienced surfers certainly get their money’s worth when surfing in Bali. Together we head for the best waves around the surf camp in Uluwatu including legendary Airport breaks, the classic Bali waves of Balangan and Dreamland, or other world-famous spots, such as Keramas, Uluwatu, or Padang-Padang.

FOOD + DRINK

Our upscale beachside café restaurant has something for everyone. Barista coffee, savory dishes, gelato, beer from the barrel, the dapper ambiance and the friendly atmosphere compliment your dining experience. Starting early in the morning, our gourmet coffee bar treats you to your favorite espresso, cappuccino, latte and various kinds of tea.

Dinner service is made up of the famous beach BBQ where you get to enjoy freshly caught seafood starts on the tables in the sand in the warm candlelight ambiance, accompanied by your favorite cocktails and select wines.

The cost of living is fairly low in Bali. Get healthy and filling meals (e.g. fish with sides) for as little as 3 €. The evening beer on the beach is usually the most expensive item. Even the most remote beaches usually offer plenty of Mie Goreng, Nasi Goreng, or fruit salad. Furthermore, you get to enjoy a wide variety of Western and Indonesian dishes at our Kima restaurant.

International food

The numerous great restaurants in Uluwatu have adapted to western tastes, and offer excellent cuisine. Beyond international fast-food chains, you’ll find Italian, Greek, Japanese, Brazilian, Persian, and German places here.

KIMA BOTTLE & DRINKING WATER

Bali faces an increasing plastic waste problem. We try to keep Bali as free of plastic as possible with the Kima drink bottle and unlimited water for only 20 €. You can always refill your bottle at our water fountains throughout the surf camp in Uluwatu.

DISCOVERING THE SURROUNDINGS

As a surf camp guest you’ll be out and about every day discovering the surroundings of Bali, as well as the more remote surf spots. We use our many years of experience to head for the most beautiful beaches and beach breaks. We head for the best spots for you depending on weather and your requests – by car or boat, across the island, in small groups. You can enjoy at least 14 surf sessions per week!

CULTURAL & OTHER ACTIVITIES

The right social program makes your surf vacation in Bali truly exciting. We will gladly organize day trips to the island’s cultural highlights with you. Get to know Bali’s Hindu side – palaces, temples, and rice terraces - as well as its more modern side, with bars, shopping hot spots and culinary happenings. If you prefer a more athletic approach, there’s so much variety around your surf accommodation in Uluwatu – on and below the water’s surface, while scaling a volcano, or on a motorbike tour with Bali Dirt Bikes.

ON YOUR OWN

You can also explore Bali completely on your own. Borrow our mountain bikes and vans (at least three guests) free of charge for tours and small adventures. Just let us know the day before -and don’t forget to refuel! You can also rent a moped with a board holder for a small fee at our surf hotel. In addition, you can book your own driver who will bring you to the supermarket or ATM on request. Please note that you need an international driver’s license on Bali; the usual European and Australian licenses are invalid here.

AIRPORT TRANSFER

We will gladly pick you up from the airport and bring you back in time for your return flight. The transfer (to and from) is free if you stay at least five nights. For shorter stays at our surf camp in UIuwatu in Bali we bill 15 € per person and drive. Please get in touch with our team as part of your reservation if your destination and pick-up spot is not the airport, but somewhere else in Bali. We’ll gladly find a solution for you. Send us your flight and address data at least 48 hours before your trip to have a driver ready for you.
